With more than four years of experience in the non-profit sector in Canada and many years working in corporate affairs and government relations in Asia , I am a passionate and skilled Outreach/Communications & Marketing Coordinator at Calgary Immigrant Women's Association (CIWA). I have two professional certifications in Internal Communications and Sustainability Reporting and Communications, which demonstrate my commitment to effective and ethical communication practices. I also have a master's degree in Media and Communications Management from the University of Stirling, where I gained valuable knowledge and skills in media analysis, strategic communication, and digital media. In my current role, I manage the development and implementation of CIWA's outreach, communications, and marketing strategies, as well as oversee the production and distribution of various publications and materials. I have successfully increased CIWA's visibility and engagement with diverse stakeholders, including donors, partners, media, and the public. Previously, I worked as a Cultural Broker at ActionDignity, respectively, where I provided direct support and advocacy to racialized communities facing multiple barriers and challenges. I have a strong work ethic, a high level of adaptability, and excellent relationship building skills, which enable me to work effectively with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives. I am driven by a mission to empower and inspire immigrants and women and to promote social justice and inclusion in our society.
