My expertise is in translating behavioral theory into practical action and namely understanding behavioral influences on best practice adoption and evaluating the outcomes and impacts of that adoption. I develop strategies to create and measure behavior change through Extension programs that focus on natural resource conservation and other environmentally desirable behaviors. I am an associate professor and extension specialist in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication at the University of Florida. I support the Center for Land Use Efficiency (CLUE) in IFAS by providing professional development, resources, and evaluation support to extension professionals who promote sustainable landscape management practices. My research focuses on understanding factors that influence behavior change and my Extension program focuses on enhancing the program development and evaluation competencies of Extension and outreach professionals who encourage conservation.
