Design, implementation and support of a domestic IT network that supports 1050 retail stores, 26 call centers, two data centers, two campus environments and 150+ smaller administrative sites. Define IT Network strategies by working with the Router/Switch Standards Committee that governs configuration standards, OS releases, and equipment selection for the Sprint IT Network. Interface with vendors to ensure network track aligns with intended technology changes. Providing training across multi-vendor platform for equipment configuration, troubleshooting and support. Team lead for network change implementation and support of two multi-building campuses, Kansas City area administrative sites and Call Centers.Accomplishments:Overhauling Sprint’s Overland Park Campus replacing aging and unsupported equipment with Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches. Defined technology requirements to provide long term communications solution for Overland Park Campus, Reston Campus, large administrative sites and call centers. Evaluation of vendor equipment (Arista, Brocade, Hewlett-Packard, and Cisco), equipment selection, configuration standards, engineering/operations training, and solution implementation. Next Generation WiFi solution design and implementation. Selection of 802.11ac wave 2 equipment to support Sprint Enterprise and Guest networks for IT access at all Sprint sites. Configuration documentation, testing and implementation/support training.Sprint’s “One Sprint” IT network overhaul. Defined IT network strategy for combining three separate IT networks (Local Division, Long Distance and PCS) into one IT network designed to support all three divisions Administration, Sales, Retail, Call Center and Data Centers.
