• iRODS: In PHP, JAVA, JavaScript developed client APIs & interfaces for integrated Rule-Oriented Data-management System. Responsible for maintenance of iRODS PHP API. Also perform iRODS grid administrative tasks for the DataNet Federation Consortium• North Carolina & Chesapeake Bay Region Floodplain Mapping: Using GRASS GIS/ ESRI ArcMap/VDATUM/GDAL/PROJ/PERL & BASH scripting, compiled multiple datasets into a single seamless digital elevation model, encompassing both ocean floor and coastal topology (“topobathy”). This was used as a basis to model NC & Chesapeake area coastal storm surge/flooding in order to modernize FEMA floodplain maps. Used Joomla to create project website. GIS file formats used include: Arc Ascii, Shapefile, GeoTIFF, MrSID, LiDAR (LAS), DEM• HydroMet: Using GRASS GIS/ESRI ArcMap prepared data and performed geospatial analysis in support of models that predict drought, flooding and landslides in NC.• NC-First: Worked on team to create NC-First weather information portal for Emergency Managers in NC. Skills used: ESRI ArcMap/MapServer/PHP/MySQL/PERL/BASH• Immersive Media: Created plug-in (C#.NET) for open source GIS, MapWindow for synchronizing Immersive Media video with georeferenced tracks on UNCW campus maps and buildings.

• Consultant: Developed a JAVA/Swing/JDBC/MS Access software system to register, track, and score students participating in the New Jersey State SkillsUSA contests. 06/2004 to 08/2004, GIS Specialist, Passaic River Coalition• Internship: Prepared project maps (ArcView 8.3) to be used for land acquisition/land trust protection. Created digital data for Township of Millburn, NJ by georeferencing tax maps, and using “heads-up” method to digitize rights of way, land parcels, and hydrologic features. Created geodatabases to organize digitized data. Prepared raw GPS data (ArcObjects) for presentation on maps, as part of a survey of the Pompton River.

• As lead developer, implemented GUI screens in Java/Swing and main Worklist table for Order Manager (manages the processing and tracking of service orders received from an order entry system, and engineering work orders entered by Order Manager users) and Trouble Manager (manages and tracks troubles associated with network, including customer reported troubles and problems that are identified by network surveillance). Created CORBA IDL interface methods and data structures for GUI to communicate with server/database backend. Also developed applet prototype for OM, running in Netscape browser. Ported existing C++ GUI apps to JAVA.

• In C++, developed user interface screens and client/server code for PricerX, a competitive pricing analysis tool, which supports the sale of services, which fall within the AT&T Business Communications Services market strata. Responsible for a large percentage of development work on the project, which required upward of 6 releases per year. Served as team leader for design and development of several features.• In C++, performed development on SUN workstations under SunOS using ObjectBuilder and HP OpenView platform and SNMP. Designed and deployed (including equipment/tools purchasing) a SUN/PC distributed development environment. Designed an Alarm Management system for the ACCULINK 7050 Network Management System. Designed and developed user interface screens for the ACCULINK 7050 native administrative interface. Developed an OI/HPOV application that displays a graph of performance statistics for AT&T Paradyne DSUs via SNMP.• Designed and developed a graphics oriented user interface (Network Status Display) with MS WINDOWS/Windows SDK, which displays and provides current status of a communications network. Developed a prototype of same, using X11/OpenLook on an AT&T 386. Developed several reports using INFORMIX SQL/ESQL.• Developed a per process accounting package, on a UNIX system, to track and report project related processes. Revised an existing report package to incorporate more flexibility; designed and developed numerous project related reports. Developed capability to remotely receive and apply software patches to AT&T PBXs. Developed a database schema (which served as an information source of entire project) to replicate and retain information reflecting a network of PBXs and other AT&T products.
