My partners and I founded Wooko Inc. in 2016. Our product, CampusCloud, aims at facilitating the communication and resource sharing in the campus of universities in Canada. We leveraged various techniques to build our product, such as ReactJS, React Native, Ruby on Rails, Firebase, Redux, etc. Now it is available on the web, iOS, and Android platforms. My main responsibilities are two-fold: management and development.Management:* Studying the market, discussed the future direction and planned the development roadmap.* Building the development team by interviewing and recruiting more than 20 teammates during the 3 years.* Training the newly recruited teammates on ReactJS, React Native, Ruby on Rails, Firebase, RESTful API, agile software development, and etc., to ensure they can join the workflow smoothly.* Working with another teammate to manage the agile software development workflow, including submitting stories, monitoring the progress, coordinating the daily scrum meetings and the weekly technique seminar, and etc.* Setting up and managed the tool chain used by the development team, including Github, JIRA, Asana, and Slack.* Attending seminars and applied for programs for startups.Development* Designing the global architecture of our product.* Building the RESTful APIs used by our product and wrote unit tests and integration tests for the APIs.* Building the architecture of the mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms with the founding team.* Building the architecture of the web application with the founding team.* Building the front-end testing architecture.* Implementing various features, such as the messaging feature, an innovative cache mechanics, the dashboard, and etc.* Fixing various bugs.

As an intern at the IGF Secretariat of the United Nations Office at Geneva, my main contributions include:* Designing and implementing online features independently to achieve cooperation among multi-stakeholders and to make sure the preparation on the online infrastructures of the IGF annual conference was following the deadlines. Various programming languages have been applied in my daily work, which includes HTML, CSS, MySQL, PHP, CodeIgniter, JavaScript, and JQuery.* Working closely with the colleagues to perform analytic and statistic tasks with Excel and scripts on the data collected from the conference website. Those tasks were often urgent. At the same time, we needed to make sure the results were correct.* Developing tools and scripts to facilitate the daily work of the secretariat. To accomplish this work, I communicated with the colleagues frequently, summarized their requirements and design effective tools.* Working as a remote software engineer after the internship.* Working as a volunteer in the Internet Governance Forum 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey.
