Established in 2007 BAR-DESIGN is a design studio that works worldwide by the web, located in Italy and leaded by the Italian designer Luca Bar.Our primary design field is motorcycle design and styling.Since motorcycles appeared more than hundred years ago, riders understood that those motorized two wheels had a soul. The feeling of freedom is close to flying, there's no way to explain it if you don't try. Our goal is to grow those feelings and give a deeper soul to the bikes we design.At BAR-DESIGN we know that "design" is a serious matter that has to do with COSTS, time, marketing and laws; but we also know that the only way to solve an articulate problem is to have fun doing it. We also believe that good design bring to good selling products, it have to, and it's part of our goal. (So you will call us back for other projects)We can offer, with the network of our partners, a full design process, from concept sketches and 2D renderings, through 3D CAS modeling, to real scale model, reverse 3D and prototype.None really "needs" a motorcycle, but once you ride one, you actually do.

Within the Transportation design department I teach Motorcycle & Scooter design to bachelor and master course students. The course begin from basic understanding of how a motorcycle is made to a reflection on the style, design and consistency with the brands. Particular attention is given to environment impact.

In close cooperation with the Visual Merchandising Manager and the Brand Manager I developed the new concept for the Napapijri stores. From early concept passing through furniture and complements design to picture selection and placement in the store. After first partnership stores in Italy we designed the new owned store in Paris Saint Germain, from the layout to the visual merchandising. The store is performing well and has been published in many specialized magazines. I develop POP material, custom windows, from preliminary concepts and renderings I develop the design and follow the production with several suppliers, from small artisan productions for VIP customers to large scale production of POP for wholesale.

Responsible for the graphic image of the Napapijri brand, for the worldwide logo usage and supervision of mostly all the printed material, such as the seasonal workbooks, company profiles etc…

I’ve been hired for the startups of the Lugano headquarter, after the acquisition of the brand by VF. With the supervision of the Product Department Manger, I defined the technical organization of the product development office, from the software choice to the realization of templates and the formation of people, in order to reach a standard that allows Napapijri to work with worldwide suppliers. After the very first startup I managed for a year the graphics for the product department defining the workflow.

In the Design Dept of the consultancy I followed the full design process from conceptualization sketches to rendering to physical model (supervising). I was employed mostly on industrial products, but also on transportation design for interior and exterior of cars and trucks. I worked for clients as: Telecom Italia, Siemens, Hoower, H3G, Tata, Hainan, Chang Han, Hercules Cycles, Bajaj.

In the Turin`s office I was working as technical expert of the automotive field, responsible of the Desk Auto, my job was to promote the automotive supply chain in foreign markets.

As an intern I was following several project giving my support to senior designers. Developing sketches, concepts and 3D models.
