Software Engineer for AWS Identity and Access Management team. Tasked with automating the sidelining and reprocessing of poison pills in the IAM Propagation task stream. Used Java and Berkeley Databases to store poisoned tasks in Dead Letter Queues. Created functionality to signal a reprocess of the DLQ from the command line for operator usage. Reduced blast radius of poison pills where previously, the only strategy in dealing with them was to remove them entirely from the propagation stream. Now, poison pills are able to be sidelined and reprocessed in a fraction of the time.

Created business requirements document that outlined process and proposed functionality of project and communicated programming logic to stakeholders. Wrote Python scripts to automate vulnerability management ticketing process for internal Dell employees. Pulled from Jira, Tenable.io, and Qualys REST APIs to launch scans on target or host machine, monitor scan lifecycle, generate comprehensive report of scan, and upload CSV scan report back to Jira for customer to view.
