Fresh produce gourmet shop. Responsibilities included all aspects of the business from inception to permanent closure, including concept idea, location selection, shop design, liaising with contractors and local authorities, product selection, design and launch of web page including e-commerce, marketing and social media channels, face-to-face and online customer service, budget and cashflow control, financial assessment scenarios, final liquidation of company and its assets.

Successfully established a restaurant/coffee shop chain in the centre of Barcelona city. Comprising of 4 restaurants, 3 coffee shops, 1 bakery as well as 1 production centre, the whole business employed circa 100 staff and produced annual sales above €6M. Working from the ground up, once growth was acquired as well as stability, I mainly managed finance, operations and to a lesser degree human resources. Other responsibilities included Lean Management, liaising with financial and government institutions, supplier selection and negotiating terms of agreement. The directive/managerial team was formed by 10 people and together we had an extensive assortment of backgrounds and skills. We all heavily contributed to the daily running of the business including social media and marketing areas, menu and dish creation, business expansion and development.

Managing a team of 5, my duties encompassed implementation of the initial concept design, building a close rapport with the client, liaising with contractors, engineers, and consultants, ensuring the project was completed within the time constrictions and the given budget.Team Leader - Manchester Civil Justice Centre MCJC, Civil Courthouse. Manchester, UKThe MCJC is the largest court building to be built in the UK since 1882. This was a very rigorous project with tight deadlines and a very high-profile client. The tender process was of extreme importance as it established the detailed framework for all parties involved. Environmental sustainability played a fundamental role in the design of this project.Leading a team of 4, I was responsible for the 11-storey atrium and my duties included design, constant liaising with a multidisciplinary array of professionals as well as contractors. I also was responsible for specific material sourcing onsite across Europe, quality control assessments, and weekly on-site inspections.

Project Manager - Verdelago Resort. Algarve, PortugalAs a project manager of the Verdelago Resort, which exceeds 80.000sqm, I was responsible for all aspects of the project including time and budget management, selecting and coordinating a team of 4, managing contractors and reporting to the director of the company. I relocated in the Algarve for eight months where I set up the local office. I held meetings and re-established relationships with the client, local and regional authorities, contractors, consultants and other third parties in order to put forward proposals to update the project. Returning to London, I coordinated the development of new building typologies, services, landscape and compliance. Architectural Designer – Various Project. London, UKAs an architectural designer, I worked on a variety of projects with value stretching from approximately $12m to $160m, and areas from 18000sqm to 80000sqm located in Portugal, Spain and Argentina. Duties included on-site supervision; working closely with senior architects; tender preparation, sketching as well as preparation of drawings for presentation to the client, contractors and local authorities; liaising with other consultants; compliance with local building regulations; and interior design.

I was involved in several apartment, house and office refurbishment projects. Duties encompassed all areas of project design from conception to execution, including sketching and preparing presentation drawings for clients. I also coordinated the company’s construction unit as well as prepared cost analysis and estimates.

Responsible for all aspects of the project from the initial design to the successful completion. This included on-site management of a workforce of 50, first hand experience of manual labour and all financial aspects of the project.
