At Mueller Industries, I explored many branches of engineering such as, manufacturing, quality, maintenance, electrical, and design. I had many projects such as designing, building and, implementing a robotics training station, creating a more efficient assembly line, modernizing the inventory taking process, and Identifying bottlenecks and creating solutions for them.Furthermore, I worked extensively with the CNC machines and learned all about feed rates, the different axes they can move about, the different types of tools needed to machine certain profiles and of course a lot of G-code.During this internship I became very proficient at Solidworks, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.I also worked with the R&D team in designing, testing and manufacturing of new products. I used Solidworks to model many of the tools and dies that we used to make parts and to model new apparatuses to make testing for R&D easier and more efficient.

Memphis Tennessee

I worked at Smith Pools for the summer of 2018.I was the most versatile employee they had that summer. I helped out wherever I was needed for the day. Some days I built pools, some days I repaired pools, some days I cleaned them and some days I stayed around the store and helped with retail and pools sales and organizing the warehouse. A good indicator of how capable I was is the fact I was sent out alone to do jobs when every other job had to have at least two people go.Repairs involved anything from a simple leak to a complicated pump or filter repair. I learned exactly how a pump works and common problems they may have and how to fix them. While working in the store I learned may of the chemical issues that pools have and the solutions to those problems as well.I gained a huge respect for manual laborers and anyone who has to work outside in the heat full-time.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama Area

I was a delivery driver. Responsibilities were to deliver food to the customer accurately and quickly. I usually take two to three deliveries with me every time i leave the restaurant. When I am not on a delivery, I help out in any way possible around the restaurant such as: cleaning tables, sweeping out front, cleaning the drink machine, restocking cups, lids and straws, cashier, and wash dishes.

Greater Memphis Area

I worked for three summers as an assistant swim coach at Ridgeway Country Club.I assist in coaching the swim team at Ridgeway Country Club. I coach kids ages 4-15. Through technique and skills (starts, turns, finishes) improvement (I often get into the water to demonstrate.) and conditioning of many different types (lactic/ anaerobic threshold, aerobic/endurance, anaerobic/power), I seek to help athletes become the fastest swimmers they can. I make sure to factor in legal stroke limitations as well as positions of maximum power and least drag when working on technique.Outside of practice, I handle inquiries presented to me by athletes, athlete parents, and fellow coaches. I also ensure our lane ropes are taken care of, as well as making sure home meets run smoothly for both athletes and spectators.I also provide private lessons to athletes when their parents feel one-on-one interaction would be very beneficial, often for kids who feel "lost" during practice.In my final summer, the team achieved its highest placing at the City Meet Championships since my arrival: third. In addition, ten swimmers achieved high point awards, including three who achieved overall high point winner in their division.My most memorable moment during my time was helping set up an exhibition swim for a four year old boy who wanted to compete at the end of a swim meet after watching his older brother compete.
