In charge of implementing ICLEI's strategy for the carbonn Climate Registry (carbonn.org), an online reporting platform designed to promote transparency, accountability and credibility of climate action of local and subnational governments.Specific tasks included: Partnerships management, coordination of platform maintenance and upgrade work, technical support, data analysis, preparation of annual report, coordination of promotion and communication activities, fund raising.As the information collected through the carbonn Climate Registry is an important part of the climate advocacy message delivered by ICLEI, I also supported ICLEI's head of global climate advocacy during UNFCCC ADP talks and COPs.In addition, as the carbonn Climate Registry is an important element of a Measurement, Reporting, Verification (MRV) framework for local authorities, I worked on a new framework for the vertical integration of local and subnational efforts with national MRV processes as outlined in the Bali Action Plan for better recognition and empowerment of local climate action.

Researched policy issues related to the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in relation to climate change and the promotion of sustainable development, identifying key issues to be followed up by ITU.Produced briefings and background reports to support the development of ITU strategy and position in the UNFCCC climate change negotiations as well as in the preparatory process of the 2012 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20).Actively followed the Rio negotiation process on behalf of ITU and provide language to delegations for ICTs to be included in the outcome document.Supported ITU delegation participating in external and preparatory meetings of conferences of the UN system related with sustainable development and climate change.Assisted with the organization of ITU events related with climate change and sustainability issues, engaging with external partners to coordinate content, speakers, follow up actions and logistics before, during and after the event.Supported ITU internal coordination mechanisms related with the previous activities. This activity included liaising with staff across the organization to produce content, coordinate communications activities and hold internal meetings to define ITU strategy.Supported to the definition of the communication strategy for the ITU Climate Change program. This activity included the elaboration of stories for external and internal ITU official communication channels (e.g. pieces for corporate blog, Twitter account etc,).
