Working as an control system engineer in the optimization department of REPLAN, the largest oil refinery in South America, assuming, among others, the following responsibilities:1) Design and implementation of newly control schemes in the DCS (distributed control system) and it's associated HMI (human machine interface) mainly for the purposes of increasing reliabily of the systems or to achieve better process efficacy;2) Performing constant updates on safety instrumented systems programs in accordance to IEC 61511 standard in order to achieve better reliability and safety during plant operation;3) Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of advanced control strategies, mainly based on model predictive control schemes and also for the development and implementation of new manufacturing execution systems;4) Conducting constant updates in the programs of PLCs related to specific equipment, like compressors or large pumps, mainly with the purpose of increasing reliability of the industrial plant.

Working on the basic design, executive project and construction of the UO-RPBC diesel portfolio project (HDT, UGH, UTAA, DEA, URE, Ammonia Converter and its auxiliary systems), assuming among others, the following responsibilities:1) Developing technical specifications of instruments and control systems equipaments in accordance to company and international standarts;2) Responsible for guaranteeing that all control system executive project and assembly are in resonance with the proposed in basic design technical requirements and in accordance to applicable standards;3) Responsible for conduction of factory inspection tests related to control systems equipment in order to guarantee that all project requisites are met during equipment assembly;4) Responsible for the approval of all executive project related to control systems, including for example control philosophy , logic diagrams, lists of inputs and outputs, instruments data sheets , safety instrumented systems datasheet , control valves data sheets, PSVs data sheets etc.
