StepStone EMEA operates Axel Springer’s job board divisions in Europe, South Africa, and South America.I reported to the CTPO and was responsible for driving digital transformation of StepStone’s multiple legacy platforms into a modern, global, data-driven architecture; and restructuring multiple divisions into a global engineering department.In this role I:- created a strategy and business case for retiring multiple legacy systems and adoption of a global platform - worked directly with the C-Suite to drive delivery strategies, budgets, and targets created a unified career model and multi-location employment model for our 700+ engineers- introduced engineering chapters and training programs to upskill teams- decentralized 72% of engineering to align teams with their business units

As the technology founder of Lottovate, I built a team of 30+ engineers and 3 product managers, sourcing from internal and external talent. I established technology, processes, and operations.I created original systems and continue to be hands on (11th contributor for commits), while team has constructed 84 microservices and 500K+ lines of code.I architected and led a strategy based on microservices, RESTful APIs, and single page, dynamic applications. Our multi-tenant services have been quickly repackaged across multiple products, markets, and regulatory environments.

I led technology, product, and operations and the post- acquisition merger of Adconion’s AdTech platform into Amobee/SingTel.I launched Amobee’s new Social Advertising System: the first product in market to serve across the big 3 social APIs at the time (Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest).I created Amobee’s INK/Social product, which gives brands significant lift for their ad spend by enabling intelligent user journeys across devices and channels. We demonstrated success for major brands including:* 195% lift for Lexus* 363% lift for History Channel* 456% lift for SLS Las Vegas

I led global engineering for Adconion with development teams of 80+ across 7 locations. I managed technology investments of $10M+ annually and was responsible for $260M+ of revenue generating products and services. I drove leadership in the industry with our company presenting at events such as AWS:invent, Strata, and Dreamforce. Our product team drove standards with iab.I introduced award winning products into the market, including Amobee's INK cross channel and cross device solution. I headed the team that developed and operated systems for the large scale, near-time processing of massive data. (2B+ daily events, 57Q+ weekly optimizations).We developed a data pipeline that could ingest, normalize, analyze, and report on data from a wide variety or internal and external sources. We delivered self-service reporting and analytics tools that empowered timely and accurate data-driven decisions.We supported Adconion's global business footprint of 27 offices in 20 countries with follow-the-sun, 24x7x365 data and analytics.

I worked across three teams while at Disney: The Family Group, Architecture and Central Engineering, and Studio Technology.For the Family Group, I oversaw the publishing, advertising, and content technology teams of 32 engineers. I managed operations for the acquisitions of 5 companies and their assets. I managed a portfolio of 14 web properties where my focus was increasing performance and revenue of the systems while rolling out new features and products to deliver a profitable 45m+ in revenue for the TWDC.In the Architecture and Central Engineering team for DIMG, I defined technology strategy and best practices for the department and delivered core technology services to over 200 engineers.At the Studio Technology group, I managed outsourced development teams, development, and research into strategic technology and service products for the studio. I delivered a movie release scheduling system to increase licensing revenue from partners.

I ran technology development and operations for Userplane's SaaS technology, which provided web applications and widgets to 300,000+ publisher sites and corporate customers. We delivered tools and APIs for instant community web applications (e.g. messaging, presence, video).Following AOL’s acquisition of Userplan, my role was to shift technology and operations from start-up mode to enterprise levels: delivering on SLAs, reliable schedules and regular product releases. I worked with our GM to create product roadmaps, resource plans, and deliver profitability.

Xdrive was a first generation cloud storage and application service. It was profitable by 2004 and acquired by AOL in July, 2005 for its new premier subscription service.As CTO, I ran all of Xdrive technology, operations, product development, customer support, and IT. I invented much of the technology. I built and managed the various teams. I drove tech and operational due diligence and acquisition. At AOL, I continued to manage Xdrive and expanded to include AOLPhotos and Bluestring. I was a key partner in the OpenAOL initiative with our API being one of AOLs first public APIs. We led industry with participation in EclipseCon, MashupCamp, Techcrunch 40, and Twiistup.

Led NovaLogic's long-running massive multiplayer environment, NovaWorld. I was charged with developing new technologies, making old systems scale and increase their QoS, handling operations, QA and project management. I created/managed the second generation NovaWorld system which supported 13+ million active users and 1+ million game joins a day with high availability (99.9+%) on a small budget (<$20K of hardware and in-office hosting).
