Founder and clinical director of Trail Ahead Therapy, a behavioral health agency in New Mexico specializing in trauma-informed psychotherapy for adults, families and couples. Our group is a dynamic and diverse group of individuals who are each passionate about helping people in our community who are experiencing CPTSD, acute trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, life transitions and other general life stressors. Our practice is progressive and both represents and is welcoming of our queer, neurodivergent and POC community.

Providing individual and couples psychotherapy in the Albuquerque, NM area. I offer trauma-informed therapy for people from a variety of backgrounds, such as Veterans, abuse survivors, the LGBTQ+ community, among others.

o Responsible for providing services for the transition of pediatric members with disabilities in the Texas STAR Kids Program to adult care (STAR+PLUS). o Working to stand-up Transition team by creating assessment & educational tools to address the needs of members & their families. o Develops transition plans and ensures members receive early and comprehensive transition planning to help prepare them for service and benefit changes that will occur following their 21st birthday. o Responsible for planning transition of care in a multi-disciplinary team environment working with external resources, member support network, and HCSC personnel.o Utilizing skills in motivational interviewing, CBT, and attachment theory. o Making ~6 visits/week to member's homes to conduct assessments.o Carried a caseload of 500+ members at a given time.o Providing extensive referrals to community resources for a number of concerns, including: financial assistance, food insecurity, health & wellness, education, employment/vocational counseling, SSI/SSDI, SNAP, TANF, and social activities.

Medical social worker who assisted with care coordination, case consultation, and assisting patients with life transitions & locating resources. I helped organize crisis resources and created marketing materials for use between departments to assist patients and families with locating resources such as financial assistance, applying for state benefits, locating DV resources, assisted living resources, etc.

Worked with Veterans within an inpatient rehabilitation program and a transitional living facility. Managed a caseload of 30 clients and assisted with resource navigation, advocacy within the VA system, and managing transitioning back into the community. Utilized basic trauma therapy and DBT skills to assist Veterans with learning self-regulation techniques and communication skills for daily life.

Worked with youth (ages 13+) who were enrolled in Goodwill's GED and High School programs. Main priorities were assisting with job readiness, connecting teens with resources, assistance with advocacy for resources, and helping with skills such as financial literacy, resume writing, and interview skills. Worked with teens experiencing homelessness, navigating ongoing abuse & exploitation, and who were in active crisis. Provided safety planning assessment, harm reduction and ongoing case management.

Provided home health services to individuals living in rural New Mexico. Assisted with cooking, cleaning, organizing, arranging for home repairs, sending mail, etc. Also provided socialization and activities, such as dancing, painting, scrapbooking, going for short walks, and identifying wildlife.
