From professional ballet dancer, to psychologist specialising in the performing arts, to publisher living in Tasmania. Lucinda was involved in the performing arts scene from 1974, when she joined The Australian Ballet as a dancer, until 2016, when she left her position as Student Health & Welfare Director at The Australian Ballet School. After the end of her own stage career, Lucinda helped many young dancers achieve their performing arts dreams - either as a rehearsal director or as a psychologist specialising in performance issues. Lucinda trained as a Psychologist in the mid to late 90s and, immediately upon graduating, was employed as the first full-time Psychologist at Australia's national vocational dance training institution, The Australian Ballet School, in Melbourne. Lucinda saw this as an amazing opportunity to help young dancers prepare for the emotional rigours of the dance profession and to assist those whose lives would ultimately take different directions. In 2012 Lucinda moved to Hobart where she and her husband, Chris Champion, own and run Forty South Publishing, publishers of the state's iconic magazine, Forty South Tasmania, and the largest book publisher in Tasmania.
