In my position with UnitedHealthcare, I am responsible for the ongoing retention and management of accounts/clients within the 51-150 segment. This includes maintaining a persistency of over 90% or my book, in addition to cross-selling other value-added products. I work closely with underwriting on strategic negotiations and closing of renewals. Strong experience in anticipating opportunities before they arise and take the initiative in seeking out solutions. Also have a strong understanding of management principles and cultural values used to incorporate into meeting goals and objectives. I also work in reviewing my book of business and lead discussions with assigned agencies to identify additional NBEA opportunities. I set expectations with my assigned agencies and work proactively in meeting with them to review upcoming renewals.

My position consisted of servicing and managing our client portfolio. I worked closely with insurance carriers on the bidding process of our client’s benefits, as well as the account management and servicing. Our client portfolio consisted of small casinos, law firms and construction companies. I coordinated and conducted enrollment meetings for companies with 100+ employees and ensured all open enrollment changes were processed accordingly.

In this position I had daily interaction with insurance carriers and medical providers regarding member eligibility, benefits and claims. I conducted enrollment meetings and assisted members with their enrollment process as well as the employers with any billing inquiries. All issues were entered into a benefits database for ease of reference and tracking.

As a Client Relations Representative, I assisted members with their medical, dental and vision coverages. I worked closely with insurance carriers and medical providers in getting claims processed and/or re-billed. I handled eligibility and enrollment issues as promptly as possible, and was responsible for entering all information into a benefits database. I also made sure every call was handled accurately, and in a timely manner.
