The Virtual Vacation Scheme consisted of a series of talks, workshops, employability expos, and opportunities to interact with experts across a range of practice areas. The workshops, hosted by leading law firms, provided unique opportunities to gain insight in to how practitioners apply theory. Corresponding written exercises were incorporated in to the scheme. These were particularly useful for exercising the new analytical skills and approaches that I had been introduced to in the workshops. In actively participating in the in the Question and Answer sessions that followed, I was able to both bridge any gaps in my understanding of the workshop content, and also provide my own perspective on the issues raised. This contribution proved to be constructive in triggering discussions and further thought among the group members.
