I have over ten years of experience in research, instruction, mentorship, and administration at the university level. In addition to conducting my own social-scientific studies on first impressions and romantic relationships, I instructed and mentored students in psychology, inclusion, and overall academic life, particularly writing and career preparation. During this time, I also composed original content for peer-reviewed publications, textbooks, and lay audiences (e.g., newspaper, radio, internet), as well as assisted in managing a wide range of university organizations, including co-directing Purdue University’s Acceptance and Inclusion Consortium. Most recently, I provided academic counseling to undergraduate students and initiated programs to enhance student-instructor relations. Moving forward, I seek an engaging career that allows me to apply my unique skillset in a novel professional setting (e.g., healthcare/treatment facility, fact tank, consulting firm) to have a more direct impact on diverse populations.
