With 3.5 million people in the UK living with a rare disease, they make up a huge patient population. And yet the term 'rare' continues to carry a stigma in medical education. Medics4RareDiseases are driving an attitude change towards rare diseases amongst medical student and doctors-in-training to improve the patient journey.I am a founder and the CEO of M4RD. Responsible for strategy, communications, marketing & liaising with students and doctors worldwide. I attend and speak at events to raise awareness of rare diseases and recruit more medics to get involved in our project.
