I currently manage my own greeting card, stationery and giftware business, Lucy Maggie Designs Ltd., selling wholesale to many established retailers both in the UK and internationally.

For 5 years, I have worked as a freelance designer and copywriter, taking on a wide range of projects for a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from individuals to multinational corporate companies. Projects have included (but are not limited to): web design, photo retouching, branding and re-branding, promotional flyers and brochures, logo design, album cover artwork, corporate PowerPoint presentations, animation, instruction manual writing & technical drawing, and blog writing.

At Fairbanks Environmental, I work within the marketing department to product corporate sales material, viewed by both national and international clients. My regular work includes the production of sales leaflets, which are written and designed internally, image retouching, writing editorials for industry publications, producing corporate presentations, events preparation (including stand design) and writing press releases. I have also been involved in the production of company animations to sell our services.

My main responsibility as Technical Writer was the writing of user manuals, from initial draft to print, for a wide array of products. I was required to be concise and meticulous so as to present clear and accessible material for the general public. I managed the overall layout and design of the manuals, becoming familiar with style guides to maintain brand integrity whilst applying my own initiative to ensure the manuals were visually stimulating. I produced technical drawings where needed and ensured that the guides produced were to the appropriate size and print-ready.I was often asked to assist in various design projects, most notably designing images to be printed onto kitchenware.

As Web Content Writer for Relevance Web Marketing, my duties included writing descriptive sales material to sell luxury yachts and villas. I was required to update website copy to create unique, attractive sales pitches that would encourage client investment.

I was required to advise customers on the various changing exhibitions that the gallery held, as well as being knowledgable regarding the work we archived. I was the sole person in charge during my shifts, assisting with artist deliveries, as well as handling large sums of money when art was purchased. Alongside my main role, I created many of the exhibition posters.
