Embracing learning, being open to change, and asking questions are essential for personal growth.I spent 15 years at Age UK, progressing through various roles from administrator , coordinator, Service Manager, eventually serving as Chief Operating Officer being part of the Senior Leadership Team for 3 yrs. During this time, I developed and released a wide range of skills holding (simultaneously) Safeguarding Lead, Data Protection Officer, Senior Information Risk Owner, IT trainer and project management. My priority to identify opportunities for innovations, change and growth.I led the organisation through significant changes, including a digital transformation from a very archaic paper based organisation to fully cloud working, simultaneously led the implementation of a new CRM system. I speared renegotiation of critical commissioned contracts. I worked closely with stakeholders to ensure we integrated seamlessly into the county’s Integrated Care System (ICS) plans. It was an exciting period, particularly during the challenges of COVID-19 and the recovery phase that followed. I took great pride in guiding our services and IT initiatives through this time of immense change, and in fostering the growth of our “dream team”—a strong, forward-thinking management team. Although the team has since moved on, the connections and friendships we built will last forever.After leaving on a personal high, I took a year to recharge and refocus. During that time, I pursued further education, earning certifications in PRINCE2, Agile Project Management, and Change Management, while also completing Allia’s “Start Your Own Business” course. I even rescued two sister 🐕 🐕, which kept me quite busy and active ! Throughout my career, I’ve been driven by a passion to help others live their best lives. My focus has always been on treating people holistically and equally, ensuring their support provided is tailored to each individual’s choices and circumstances.In 2008, I founded a community netball club, which continues to thrive today. I served as Head Coach for over 12 years, and I still stand as chair and coach, umpire, alongside my own play. It has been a personal passion for many years.Now, I’m excited to begin the next chapter in my new role with Living Sport, where I can continue to advocate for the many benefits of staying active. I’m eager to dive in!”
