I work with a team to implement a statewide koala monitoring program measuring occurrence, distribution and relative abundance. Our aim is to increase understanding of population trends over time across NSW.

Coordinating grants for a statewide Landcare riparian restoration program that aims to restore riverbanks and riparian areas that have suffered cumulative damage from bushfires and floods in NSW.

Conducting landscape impact assessments and ground truthing flood modelling as part of the Reconnecting River Country program. I work closely with private landholders to provide feedback on localised impact mitigation and environmental outcomes.

Investigating the environmental variables affecting how two rainforest wallaby species use their habitat differently, and how their activity sits in the wider mammal community. Throughout this project I gained skills in camera trap technology and its use for mammalian surveys, spatial mapping software, vegetation mapping/surveys, data analysis and report writing. I worked closely with a geographically dispersed team.
