Project managing the client’s role in delivering a major stakeholder consultation and Planning Application to build a new £60m landmark home for Edinburgh’s Filmhouse cinema and Edinburgh International Film Festival. Working closely with the CEO and a small team at Filmhouse, the project architects and external consultants to manage consultation activity.

Worked with the Gallery Director and University colleagues to manage the strategic, operational and creative activities of the University’s public gallery and meet commitments to the University, funders, artistic partners and the public. Responsibilities included overseeing planning and resources to deliver 3-6 exhibitions per year (£20-£100k budgets.

Project managed takeover of the lease and operating contract for the Belmont Media Centre in Aberdeen, now rebranded Belmont Filmhouse. Helping to ensure a smooth transition for all stakeholders, I was the primary contact for the building owners Aberdeen City Council, the exiting tenants Picturehouse, CMI's lawyers, building surveyors and IT consultants.

Human resource management for the 68th Edinburgh International Film Festival. Identifying staffing needs, negotiating budgets, and managing recruitment, induction and HR services of 84 temporary paid roles, 14 placements and 145 volunteer positions. Line managed Recruitment Assistant and Events Team Manager.

Managing a £3 million grant, land purchase and new build project funded by the Arts Funding Prize for Edinburgh through Foundation Scotland. Working with architects, construction & legal advisors to ensure ESW fulfills its role in land purchase negotiations, design development and grant management and delivers the project on schedule and within budget.

Coordinated successful fundraising activities for £4.5 million new build project creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to benefit from access to the arts. Responsible for fundraising strategy and research, submitting applications and proposals, and building relationships with existing and potential supporters. Also led ESW’s winning.

Managing recruitment of over 200 temporary paid staff, placements and volunteers for the 2013 Festival.

Managed recruitment of 70 paid roles, 16 two-four month placements and 120 volunteer positions for the 66th Film Festival.

Part of the Edinburgh International Festival 2011, I coordinated activities and resources to deliver a major exhibition of historic Indian textiles and contemporary work at Dovecot Studios. The Project included new commissions, cultural exchange and live demonstrations.

Supported fundraising and community engagement activities, planned and managed main film shoot (May 2011) and co-organised the ‘Dummy Jim’ performance/book launch, an Unbound event for Edinburgh International Book Festival (Aug 2011).
