Developing and implementing IGG's PR Strategy in line with IGG's overall Strategic PlanSpearheading IGG's communications plans and campaigns to promote the vision and aims of the organisation, to further IGG's policy and advocacy objectives and to promote brand awarenessCo-ordinating PR for launches, photo calls, award ceremonies and other events, including writing and issuing press releases, overseeing live social media, taking photos and video footage and recording short interviews for regional radio stations and podcastsSeeking to maximise opportunities to increase the visibility of IGG by developing a network of contacts in TV, radio, national and local newspapers and online mediaResponding to enquiries from the media, organising and undertaking interviews and/or briefing key staff members and volunteers in preparation for media interviewsWriting news articles, features and letters to the editors of newspapers on behalf of IGGManaging the IGG website, including writing, editing & curating contentDeveloping and driving IGG's presence on social media, including increasing seven-fold the number of followers on Facebook and TwitterMonitoring and analysing IGG's online presence through analytical tools and metricsRecruiting and training volunteers to assist in promoting the organisation through traditional and social mediaCo-ordinating and managing stands at relevant events e.g. Zeminar Youth Expo, Woman's World ShowDeveloping partnerships with other youth, women's, civil and development organisations and representing IGG in advocacy campaigns and coalitionsLobbying TDs and senators on issues pertinent to youth and women and submitting IGG's lobbying returnsManaging and supervising the communications work of volunteers
