As an IT Practitioner, I work with the Release Management team in managing transition and delivery of new and modified products and services. I provide essential governance within the process and am relied on, to ensure that relevant process is adhered to, when managing these systems/projects and other new releases, such as weather forecasting systems, web delivery applications and software support.In conjunction with the Solutions Delivery teams, I analyse, plan and schedule release programmes. I work closely with other Release Managers and Change Management. Ultimately my role is an integral part of the Met Office’s Technology and Information Services programme, as I assess and release products and services which are used both inside and outside of the organisation.I also work with the Broadcast Graphics Team to support the development, testing and deployment of software to Visual Cortex, the leading weather visualisation software for Met Office broadcasting customers (ITV, S4C, Channel 5, STV) and Met Office Social Media Channels.• I maintain an understanding of the principles and practices of the software development lifecycle and how software can be managed and delivered into a production environment.• To carry out a successful release, my organisational and planning skills are always kept to a high standard.• I work with multiple projects over different squads and teams every day, this requires a high level of communication and the ability to move between teams, working collaboratively at each step.

I worked as E Commerce Operations Manager for worldwide brand, F&W Media at their international arm in Exeter.I managed the Operations team, providing support, training and improvements to work flow and functionality.
