My profession is in the use of business science to experiment with different solutions to improve the basic/natural human condition. I am currently focused on my role as Co-Founder at Excel@Uni, a for-profit ed-tech business using technology to maximise the on-time graduation rate of college students and improve their readiness to be competitive in the workplace. I believe this company will help student-funders avoid losing up to 25% of the annual R60-billion invested in tertiary education. Increasing the on-time graduation rate will also contribute to an annual critical pipeline of 750K founded businesses, creating enough jobs for the 1million young people joining the unemployment line every year. Started in 2013, Excel@Uni supports students on bursaries to help them graduate on time and with highly-employable skills. It has worked with over 1000 students, achieving an on-time graduation rate that is 150% higher than the national average and a dropout rate that is 3-times lower. The company has recruited a community of over 70 mentors and 600 tutors, providing them with part-time income and a platform to develop managerial skills.I also make myself available to teams and organizations, to help them think about how to pursue socio-economically sustainable operations through a disciplined process of experimental business science. My entrepreneurial endeavours have afforded me the opportunity to continually develop my skills of effective communication, resource recruitment, and empathic relationship building. My obsession with psychology & philosophy has deepened my understanding of cogent strategy validation, while accommodating for the element of human behaviour and cognitive dissonance. My work is focused on modelling the holding company for the ventures I've co-founded as commercial technology innovation agency, with the talent to conduct unconventional business experiments that can produce measurable insights and sustainable impact on low-income communities. My Functional Expertise include: Business ScienceBusiness Development and Account Management Youth Skills DevelopmentEffective Communication (Written, Keynote & Facilitation),IP commercialization, Psychoanalysis and non-theistic spirituality**Available for engagements on topics above [Send booking requests to TheHeadStudent@gmail.com]Please contact me to collaborate on opportunities for sustainable work that has a clear objective to produce measurable impact (social & economic). It can fail, but we should be able to learn why & how.

Securities Summer Analyst Intern- London OfficeGoldman Sachs Jun 2011 - Aug 2011England, London, Fleet StreetI was selected as one of the youngest interns for the program (London office), and worked in the Securities Department (sales and trading). The internship included 2 weeks of training, followed by weeklong rotations on Equities and FICC desks. This was an intense 19-hour-day routine that included working on weekends. Daily activities included collecting news from a plethora of countries & markets, and summarizing these for senior managers & clients. We also did equity valuations, and learned the price drivers behind derivative investments. We constantly had to come up with trade ideas for all the different types of products traded by the company, along with doing projects for desks which allowed for a better understanding of the different desks trade.
