This non-profit organization seeks to keep the veteran population informed and well educated about existing programs, benefits, opportunities and to facilitate their access to all available resources.In my role, I focused on the implementation of organizational goals and strategies, with a special emphasis on the development of new ideas and processes. Some of my responsibilities included: formulating new ideas supportive of all functional areas, analysis of existing practices to isolate improvement opportunities, stakeholder management, encouraging creative thinking, facilitating cross-departmental dialog and monitoring customer responses to help gauge the success of each newly-implemented procedure.To drive innovation at a steady and sustainable pace, I established guidelines to help us capture improvement ideas for future implementation. Ideas were then vetted and developed based on feasibility, merit, implementation requirements and availability of resources. Our approach was always customer-centric and we relied heavily on change management principles for all aspects of decision-making.

I oversaw the receipt, inspection, inventory, issue and lifecycle replacement of multimillion-dollar assets. Led small supply technicians’ teams during daily operations and while supporting training events at remote locations. Provided operational managers with advice regarding proper equipment usage, lending procedures, process improvement/optimization techniques and change management practices. Mentored and supported direct reports during times of increased turbulence within the operational environment and ensured both their personal and professional needs were addressed as they navigated change. Strived to mitigate any potentially negative impact change would have on my direct reports.

Operated and maintained Mobile Water Treatment equipment in multiple locations within the United States. Performed quality analysis and quality control procedures to ensure the safety and viability of the final product before issue/distribution and subsequent consumption. Performed scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and testing of water treatment/purification and associated support equipment.Lead, coached and served as a mentor for a small team (2-4) of water treatment technicians during operations designed to purify and distribute over 1M gallons of potable water per event. Provided support to thousands of customers in austere and underdeveloped environments, where we were either their sole or main potable water provider.
