As a speciality technician we would install plug in the line( pipes with openings) and pressure then up to ensure nothing behind our plus would leak by. By doing that the contractors would be able to weld on new parts or flanges with out the fear of chemical fumes igniting a fire. Once the hot work was done we would removed our plug and install our hydro plug and perform a hydro test on the welds. I’ve also assisted on other task such and cold cutting and carbon wrapping pipes with small leaks.

As an industrial painter and blaster we had multiple task. We would use sand blasting to remove rust from tanks, vessels and other surfaces in the plant. Once we were done sand blasting and it had been inspected we would and the first coat of primer with a bucket and spray gun making sure our coat was evenly applied.
