Promoted to Operations Manager. Design of 1M BPD of Heavy Crude Oil facilities: Responsible for design of Flow Stations, treatment/dehydration plants, tank farms, pipelines. In charge of selecting all equipment required for these facilities liquid-gas separators, electrostatic dehydrators, heat exchangers/direct fired heaters, chemical injection systems, boilers, LACT units and pumps. This project was done in Bakersfield, California and took 18 months to be completed. Total Engineering Cost was US$575,000. Basic & Detail Engineering and Construction of Flow and Dehydration Stations in BARE – Orinoco Heavy Oil Belt (Year 1985):Responsible for the design of Flow and Dehydration Stations (PFD, PID, equipment layouts and selections) Total of 15 stations were built. In charge of selecting and procuring vertical gas-liquid separators, pumps, well manifolds, FWKO drums, electrostatic separators, heat exchangers, boilers, storage tanks (10,000 Barrel each). Design capacity was 10,000 BPD. This project was done over a two year period. Total investment was about US $110 million. Design and Construction of a Orimulsion and Crude oil marine terminal (Year 1990)I was the engineering manager, Project Control Manager, Commisioning and start up manager and operation Manager of this Terminal. We designed and constructed intermediate Tank Farm, 250 Km of 36” pipeline, pump stations, Terminal tank Farm, laboratory, Ducks and a Single Point Mooring System. Total cost of this project was about US$350 millions.
