Responsible for providing technical advice for the implementation of the procurement activities associated with Corporate Procurement and supporting the implementation of strategic procurement and sourcing strategies. Responsible for leading and managing the effective execution of contract management and transactional activities and overseeing the delivery of procurement services and expertise, including contract support and related procurement activities, to HQ and PAHO Country Offices.

Supervise User Support Team, provide technical advice and recommendations, standardize ICT processes and practices throughout the Organization, Manage Corporate/Enterprise licensing subscriptions (recommend, negotiate), coordinate with other internal and external IT teams to strengthen the delivery of information and communications technology (ICT) services across the Organization.

Two year temporary assignment to the PAHO/WHO PMIS Core Team that will be responsible for implemeantion of the Enterprise Resources Planning system (ERP) for HQ and all Country Offices. The principal objectives of the project are to streamline the Organization’s business processes and accelerate the flow of work, increase the efficiency of operations, improve access to and quality of information, and improve accountability for results. These goals will be accomplished by implementing an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that will replace the major administrative systems supporting the entire Organization.As part of the PMIS Core Team, responsibilities include bringing knowledge of functional areas to ensure that the vision of, and strategies are interrelated to the processes. Understanding of how the systems will be implemented to support the Organization’s mission.
