About Luis Eduardo Piedra Marin
As a Nanotechnology Engineer, I am passionate about innovating and excelling in the field of nanotechnology. I have successfully accomplished an international master's double degree program in Advanced Materials for Innovation and Sustainability at Aalto University (Finland) and TU Darmstadt (Germany), where I learned about the latest developments and applications of nanomaterials for various industries and sectors.I have also gained valuable experience working as a Research Intern at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where I was involved in a project on developing novel graphene nanostructures with potential applications in nanoelectronics, specifically high-performance FET nanodevices. Previously, I worked as a Research Assistant at Aalto University, where I developed nanocellulose/ multi-walled carbon nanotubes based ultrasensitive biosensors, and as a Project Manager at Design Factory Global Network, where I led the development of the next generation of personal portable purifiers for Lifa-air. Through these experiences, I have acquired strong skills in nanoscience, materials science, data analysis, laboratory techniques, and project management. I have also demonstrated my adaptability, discipline, engagement, and consciousness by living and studying in different countries throughout my life. I enjoy playing the guitar and football in my spare time.

Research Assistant
Development of nanocellulose/ multi-walled carbon nanotubes based ultrasensitive biosensors.
Project Manager
I was the person in charge of organizing, managing, planning, communicating and executing the tasks for the development of the next generation of personal portable purifiers providing a tangible solution for the Finnish company Lifa-air.
Teaching Assitant Of Classical Mechanics
• Students were taught about Hamiltonian Dynamics, which involves Hamilton equations, Lagrange equations, dynamical systems, and phase spaces. • Also the application of theorems such as the existence and uniqueness theorem, Liouville's theorem.• Other important topics that were also addressed were Poisson's brackets, Poisson's theorem, and Canonical transformations.
Research Trainee
• The band structure analysis was performed on two-dimensional materials in the low-energy approximation.• Performing calculations of the energy band structure of materials that were subjected to electromagnetic radiation in the near-infrared frequency range.• Simulations of Quantum Tunneling using Mathematica software were performed.• Provided training in the use of analytical and numerical strategies in solving the Schrödinger equation applied to systems with two energy states. These types of systems are ubiquitous in nature since they are used to model numerous situations as diverse as an atom in a quantum cavity (cavity QED), a superconducting interferometric device (SQUID), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), among others.• The objective of the research trainee was to become familiar with the study of material engineering effects without requiring structural modification of the sample under study. • A final project was carried out in which the results obtained in this type of system were reproduced. During the study, topics previously learned in different courses such as electromagnetic theory, quantum physics, mathematical methods of physics, numerical calculus, differential equations, and oscillations, among others, were addressed. • Once the activity was concluded, the most important aspects of the manipulation of the properties of certain materials and their interpretation through the analysis of the energy spectrum were learned.
