Report to the leader of strategic spares; responsible for management of gas turbine maintenance and repair projects for gas turbines and gas turbine spare parts (GE, ALSTOM, Mitsubishi) from the TransAlta Head Office in Calgary.• Manage gas turbine overhauls and repairs for aero derivative gas turbine engines.• Manage and coordinate the spare parts refurbishments and usage for the large frame engines.• Develop and maintain relationships with repair vendors.• Develop and maintain documentation for the management of refurbishment projects.

Report directly to the VP of Customer Support and Facility GM; responsible for management of gas turbine and repair projects (GE, Rolls Royce) from the TCT Head Office in Calgary and Canada-wide field service.• Manage gas turbine overhauls and repairs valued between $1M - $2M for local, national and international operators.• Manage and coordinate shop overhaul projects including scope of work, scheduling resources, assignments, inspections and arrangements for testing.• Prepare and submit cost estimates to the client, provide ongoing updates and prepare/issue final technical reports.• Deal with third party service providers on outsourcing of repair components.• Ensure accurate allocation of parts and purchases.• Manage long term service agreements including maintenance of large fleets requiring regular maintenance and unscheduled repairs.• Oversee field service technicians and lead hands; provide input on performance evaluations and ensure appropriate training and coaching for staff under supervision. • Communicate and liaise with field service branches and customers across Canada, South America, the U.S. and Europe.• Organize, coordinate and administer all project related logistics (i.e. tooling, parts, travel schedules, transportation, accommodations, invoicing).• Ensure compliance with ISO 9002 procedures, reporting guidelines and HSE regulations for field and shop projects.• Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management related to process improvements, project updates, forecasts, provisioning, sales/service agreements and costing. • Facilitated introduction of a new engine line (a 12 year contract worth over $40M); implemented new tooling, modifications to test cells, shop improvements, technical documentation, staff training.
