As an Independent Professional I provide advisor to some Mexican Companies in regards Project Management processes like implementing best practices on deliverables and trouble tickets management. I currently provide consultants to an important company in the plastic machinery industry.

Project Manager Reports to the Professional Services Regional Delivery Manager, PM Works with customers throughout the software project implementation process.PM manages cross-functional teams located at client sites, coordinates events and tasks between vendors and customers, tracks project progress and manages the client issue escalation path in a dynamically changing global software environment.

I worked as a Project Manager Consultant in a major insurance company (MetLife) where I had the Responsibility of managing telecommunications projects such as network connectivity, infrastructure projects and administrative matters, as well as the daily tasks in the IT infrastructure department. I was promoted to end user support manager, where I had the responsibility of supporting around 2,500 users. Managed three main groups to provide support such as Hardware Inventory, Site Support, and VIP Support.

In this position, I was responsible for the provision of telecommunications circuit links such as TDM and MPLS circuits that are part of the CORE networks of clients in Mexico and South America.My responsibilities also included review plans, delivery dates and status checkups, as well as updating internal Verizon systems and provide vital information to internal and external customers. I also was responsible to coordinate several Engineers from different areas in Verizon and providers to install and activate circuits. I worked directly with carriers for ordering, pricing negotiation and constantly monitoring delivery status within the carriers. Another of my roles was support sales area in new and special projects.Accomplishments:• Team leader in the Verizon Mexico transition from dealing with just one carrier to a broad numbers of lead carriers such as Bestel, Metrored, Redit, Alestra among others. I also implemented a similar process implementation with South American Carriers.• I consistently reached and maintained the highest metrics that met end customer’s requirementsaccording to Verizon Customer Service Philosophy.

In this position I was part of the Operations & Maintenance group of the Mexican Global Crossing Networks.I provided support to Nortel ADM’s, Cisco routers, and Juniper routers among others. This was a very challenging task due I had to interact with several contractors from different companies. I participated in the activation and configuration of all new TDM, ATM and MPLS customer circuits and Global Crossing network augmentations such as adding new nodes in the Global Crossing backbone.Achievement:• Keep mean time to repair metrics (MTTR) according to industry standards.

I was the instructor of Nortel Optical transmission products, such as the STM series (STM-1 to STM-64) equipment’s. My trainees came from several cities of Mexico as well as other countries such as Chile, Belize, Colombia and Argentina. Main Achievement• During the first year on this position I developed training material and courses.• Also, I had the larger number of hours per student/technician in the area.

The main goal of this position was to have all the software packages ready for upgrades for South American telephony switches, as well as keeping track of all previous versions and configurations. I traveled to South America in order to provide maintenance to the telephone centrals. Tester and test instruction writer for Cellular telephony switches.
