As an IT intern at CNO, I was able to further my knowledge of Microsoft Azure. I worked with Azure Data Factory to create pipelines and utilized AzCopy to copy data from a variety of storage types. During the internship, I also got experience designing PowerShell scripts to automate the AzCopy process. And consulted with the DevOps team to create a Jenkins job to run the script. Furthermore, I was a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Intern group that showcased the importance of DEI at CNO in front of top business leaders.

As a Technical Center Consultant, I was responsible for a wide range of tasks. The most prominent role I had was being able to troubleshoot and assess technology problems that would arise from students and faculty. Other responsibilities were cleaning student technology centers to ensure that they were sanitary and functional. I also worked on the data analysis team providing analytics for the administration to identify the most popular labs and technical issues.

As an IT intern, I was able to show off the technical skills I had learned at IU while also developing new skills. During my 10-week internship, I spent most of it using Informatica’s Cloud ETL software to connect to multiple databases to move data from multiple sources. I also used Python and Matplotlib to make useful visualizations that later were showcased highlighting competitors based on location and internet speed.

As a volunteer consultant, I collaborated with teammates to assist clients with techniques to incorporate technology into their small businesses. During each sprint, I would have different tasks depending on the business needs. Some of the most popular tasks I had included creating websites for clients using a website builder to improve the design and visibility of their business and products. Another was analyzing projections for social media marketing that assist clients in promoting their products/services at ideal times.
