Designed an AI-powered experience for a globally-used developer tool, guiding software engineers to relevant code edits beyond their current view. This speeds up the coding process for thousands of developers worldwide. Collaborated cross-functionally with various roles (PM, SWE, UXR, UXD, UXW) to deliver a proof-of-concept that was implemented and showed promising long-term potential.

At the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems, my role involved supporting the interaction design of an AI living lab. This living lab is designed to showcase the capabilities of AI as well as the role of the Fraunhofer IKS to customers, politicians, and AI enthusiasts. In this capacity, spatial and interaction concepts were designed with user needs and personas in mind, and the user flow was simplified.

In this position, I have explored how knowledge workers could navigate, discover, and understand knowledge at work, and investigated how copilot / machine learning / AI could enrich the user experience. I made this concept as well as copilot capabilities tangible in two interactive low-fidelity and one high-fidelity Figma prototypes while taking cross-disciplinary feedback (Research, ML, Product, Design) into account. I also generated concepts, learnings, and questions that influenced and inspired both the research team as well as the product team. Deliverables:- A set of high-value user scenarios- Possible user journeys for these scenarios- Defined design principles and user needs for the selected user scenario- Two lo-fi wireframe prototypes focused on navigation patterns and interactions- Conducted and evaluated feedback sessions and usability studies with Microsoft employees- One Hi-Fi polished prototype that showcases many different features and brings together existing (research) concepts

As a working student at Fraunhofer IKS, I am involved in the development of interactive design solutions in the field of "artificial intelligence" and "quantum computing". In close cooperation with the industries "Automotive", "MedTech", "Smart Farming" and "Industrie 4.0", I contribute to making the latest technology tangible for everyone. Fraunhofer is the world's leading organization for application-oriented research with a research project volume of 2.9 billion euros and over 30,000 employees. The Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems (IKS) in Munich conducts application-oriented research focused on the safe use of artificial intelligence.
