I have worked for the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS), based at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, since 2009. I completed my undergraduate degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of York in 2003, and completed my PhD in York in 2007. I then moved to Cambridge to work on the QUEST Earth System Model.Since joining NCAS I have worked on the United Kingdom Chemistry and Aerosols model, which provides atmospheric modelling capabilities to the UK Met Office models, notably the Unified Model. I develop training materials and run training courses on UKCA, and provide development and support for UKCA. In 2022 I became a Fellow of the Software Sustainability Institute, and in 2023 I was appointed the Training Theme Leader for NCAS, overseeing our portfolio of training courses.
