Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssess customer requirements and develop the technical solution which achieves their technical and budgetary goals. This is often done through direct customer consultations.Produce technical costs builds including detailed design and bill of materials in order to help assess whether contracts meet company financial targets.Deliver Projects on time, on budget and to specification. Produce project plans including schedules, communications plans, risk assessments and works packages.Manage and negotiate with suppliers and manage service contracts.Provide technical support to Projects including FAT, pre-configuration, remote assistance to field engineers and occasional deployment to sites when field engineers are not available.Close out Projects ensuring customer and internal stakeholders are provided with all relevant information, services are fully tested and compliant with specification and services are fully handed over to NOC for through-life support.Ensure that any technical issues are solved and that improvements are implemented and communicated internally to avoid recurrence.3rd Line Support of 24/7 NOC; performing remote or on-site support to resolve any service issues within committed response time through a rotating on/off-call schedule.Perform field installation and service of satellite, voice and data networks both offshore and onshore when Field Engineer resources are not available.Effectively apply company methodology and enforce project standards.Manages day-to-day operational aspects of remote region (SSA).Travel to remote regions to support sales teams with customer engagement.

Tech SNCO for a Specialist Communications and Surveillance Unit Main ResponsibilitiesTelecommunications Senior Systems Engineer required to provide technical support to the unit and group in training and on operations. Experience of broad C4ISTAR equipment.Network maintenance, installation and administration. Included mast rigging. This included a VHF/UHF voice communications network and an IP CCTV/surveillance network.Deployment of covert surveillance equipment and engineering and deployment of backhaul links on a per operation basis.Management of a workshop supporting a large number of operational covert surveillance vehicles.
