As the Technical Drafter at Superior Storage Tanks and Trailers, I was in charge of producing all the necessary CAD models and drawings for customer approval and fabrication. This process included all the the background engineering and design for the company products. I ensured that every drawing we released met customer criteria as well as industry standards. I also created and regularly maintained the company database of products, part models, and drawings. This system greatly improved ease of access for standard products and helped standardize the design process for custom projects.

As a tutor for lower division engineering classes, my primary goal was to help students be independent learners. I provided supplemental teaching of concepts and strategies for studying and solving the assigned problems without the help of a tutor.

During my second consecutive summer as an engineering intern at Van Stone Conveyor, I primarily focused on assisting the company's transition from AutoCAD to Solidworks. This transition involved recreating part and assembly models and details in Solidworks. During this transition, I was helping to revise and establish a new company wide product numbering system, implementing it into the models and assemblies being recreated in Solidworks. I was also able to lead the design of a bearing guard solution for an existing conveyor.

As an intern at Van Stone Conveyor, my primary duty was to model and detail various conveyor parts in AutoCAD for fabrication. Under the supervision of lead engineers, I also headed the design, modeling, and detailing of a new conveyor prototype in AutoCAD. My other responsibilities included updating and improving cost estimating spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, Verifying and filing purchase orders and invoices to and from vendors, and assisting in the packing and shipping of conveyor components to costumers.

As Assistant Contractor, I worked on many residential construction, maintenance, and repair projects. I helped complete many projects that involved structural framing, drywall installation, painting, circuitry, plumbing, grading, and concrete work. This position required extensive use of power tools, a basic knowledge of construction safety regulations, and creative problem solving.
