I work in the Development Department where I undertake a variety of daily duties. I liaise with customers in order to produce specifications and develop new products through creating samples. It is my responsibility to building the bill of materials and the structure of the product and communicate with production on any issues that arise. I use various CAD packages including AutoCAD, for importing customer’s 2D templates into formats that can be used in the production process. Another key part of my job role is organizing and creating Quotations along with Structured Specifications for customers. It is important within this role that I have excellent communicational skills as well as good understanding of several different IT packages.

Huddersfield, United Kingdom

I was responsible for looking after the day-to-day running of the store, which involved serving customers to ensure they left the store satisfied, and with the correct products. As well as dealing with customer queries, processing Internet orders and merchandising the store. I was also a key holder and I was left in temporary charge and responsible for the running of the store whilst the Retail Manger was on holiday. I gained experience of attending numerous supplier meetings and was involved in the buying process. I was responsible for making sure the daily banking and paperwork were completed and dealing with any issues that arose throughout the day.

Burnley

I worked two days a week in the Burnley office mainly using AutoCAD and SketchUP. Producing scaled Floor plans and Elevations from site survey notes of existing properties, then creating proposals that was put forward to the planning department for approval. I then create scaled models in SketchUp of the existing properties and the proposals. I have also experienced going out on site and measuring up existing properties.
