I manage SMEC’s tunnelling capability for ANZ, leading a team of talented engineers working across a suite of major projects including Snowy 2.0, Sydney Metro, Melbourne Metro, Western Harbour Tunnel and Borumba pumped hydro. As a respected leader within our business, I focus on building collaborative working relationships with our clients, developing innovative solutions, and achieving effective project delivery. I have focused on major tunnelling projects throughout my career, and I am passionate about the benefits that tunnels provide to our society. My noteworthy projects include the $600M USD Ulu Jelai Hydroelectric Project in Malaysia, where I was responsible for the detailed design of 26 kilometres of tunnels and caverns; and the $1.8B AUD Adelaide Desalination Plant, where I led design of the subsea TBM and mined tunnels. Several years spent on site gives me a strong understanding of tunnelling construction methods, which enables me to work with contractors to develop buildable design solutions.
