As the The Regional Engagement Manager for Vic and Tas, Luke facilitates effective engagement between Defence, ADF Reserves & civilian employers to enhance Defence capability through greater appreciation & availability of existing and in-demand Reserve capability. Luke is responsible for undertaking regional engagement, with both internal and external stakeholders, to build sustainable & mutually beneficial relationships; managing & coordinating employer engagement events; promoting the value of Reserve service; explaining roles and responsibilities to both Reservists and their civilian employers; and providing approved key messages & consistent advice to support effective relationships.Key Responsibilities:Work collaboratively in a team based environment to set work area priorities, develop strategies & evaluate outcomes.Initiate, build & maintain working relationships with Command, Reservists and industry/employers to facilitate cooperative relationships, increase awareness & understanding of the value of Reserve Service & support the removal of barriers to Reservist participation.Develop & execute Relationship Management Plans to support targeted liaison & engagement with important stakeholders to enhance access to in-demand capabilities.Accountable for the delivery of State based employer engagement events and awardsUsing the National Performance Framework, evaluate engagement activities to ensure relationships are supporting the achievement of the DRES Vision and delivering value for DefenceProvide advice for all enquiries on Defence Reserve leave requirements, Employer Support Payment Scheme (ESPS),& matters affecting the availability of the ADF Reserve to employers & DefenceSupport Commanders to engage with employers & support ADF Reserve capability aims through the provision of key messages & consistent adviceSupport the development and application of better informed Defence policyCreate value, & engender & strengthen trust in Defence
