I was selected for this role at the forefront of Colorcon’s main 3 year plan initiative to support and engage customers at early stages of clinical drug development. It has been my responsibility to develop the EMEA region for this £1M global project. This role reports to the Technical Director and includes all responsibilities from my previous role as Brand Enhancement Manager.Key Responsibilities & Achievements • Oversaw and commissioned a new £300k high-potency drug formulation and containment facility on time, with adequate considerations for safety, budget and equipment effectiveness. • Manage high priority customer projects and deadlines while providing hands-on formulation trials, coating trials and marketing insights - travelling globally when required. • Engage directly with key customers as a technical and marketing expert both in confidential 1:1 meetings and arranging on-site seminars and training events. • Use platforms such as Pharmacircle, Zymewire and social media to identify and target key unknown customer accounts and decision makers for prospecting. • Provide assistance to customers requiring help with marketing their product / commercial image, regulatory affairs, inks, formulation, film coating and dosage design. • Establish Colorcon in a new business sector and quickly understand the decision makers, needs, and ideal route of engagement through detailed voice of customer (VOC) reports.

This customer-focused role uses CAD software, 3D printing, and consumer preference/marketing data to give Colorcon's customers (across Europe, Middle East and Africa) the best possible recommendations to enhance the brand recognition of their tablets in addition to significantly improving the time-to-market. Key Responsibilities & Achievements • Assisted more than 70 customers with projects related to tablet design, bringing an estimated £100k of value to key accounts. • Use CAD modelling (Solidworks, Fusion 360) to optimise tablet design for productivity, swallowability and marketing. • Provide detailed data analytics for competitive products in a “competitive review” to provide our customers with valuable insights that may affect their marketing decisions. • Develop and coat tablet prototypes for customers using DLP 3D printing technology for troubleshooting and marketing purposes. • Analyse consumer preference data to provide optimal engagement with target demographics.

This lab-based role used my chemistry background to analyse new raw materials for Colorcon’s products. I routinely used a variety of equipment and developed new methods where appropriate. Key Responsibilities & Achievements • Set in place global standard testing and validated analytical procedures which have resulted in considerable QC time and cost savings. • Implemented new 3rd party software which vastly improved data integrity and audit compliance within the lab and has since been rolled out globally. • Developed and validated analytical testing methods for clean-in-place (CIP) procedures within Colorcon’s GMP production facilities and used the results to establish an improved system. • Analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, UV-VIS, ICP-MS and a huge variety of colorimetric and wet chemistry techniques were used on a weekly basis.
