I have significant experience in delivering major capital works projects with a particular interest in cultural infrastructure. From 2013-2018 I was responsible for managing the delivery of a $180 million program of works for the Faculty of Fine Art and Music at the University of Melbourne's Southbank Campus. This included the new Melbourne Conservatorium of Music by John Wardle Architects, the Buxton Contemporary art museum and a new home for Victorian College of the Arts visual art at the former Victoria Police Mounted Branch ('the Stables').Now at Museums Victoria, I am part of team responsible for delivering masterplans across the museum's four sites - Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks, Immigration Museum and the Royal Exhibition Building (REB). I am also currently delivering exciting major conservation and construction works at the REB, a World Heritage Site, and the Learning Lab, a new leading edge immersive digital experience at Melbourne Museum.

Southbank Redevelopment Project Manager, Construction - Planning & Delivery, University ServicesUniversity Of Melbourne Apr 2010 - Aug 2018Melbourne, AustraliaI successfully directed a team to delivery of a major program of works ($180m) for the Faculty of Fine Art and Music at the University of Melbourne’s Southbank Campus. Together these facilities will help consolidate the Faculty’s position as a world-leading arts education institution. The Redevelopment included the following notable projects:The Ian Potter Southbank Centre The jewel in the crown of the Redevelopment is The Ian Potter Southbank Centre, a new home for the Conservatorium, a nine-storey, $109 million building designed by award-winning architect John Wardle. Key features include state-of-the-art teaching, learning, rehearsal and performance spaces including an auditorium with over 400 seats. A particularly challenging and rewarding aspect of the project was working with Creative Victoria and the Melbourne Recital Centre to incorporate significant design changes to the building when the design was already well advanced. Excitingly, this project is on track to achieve a 6 Star Green Star Design and As-Built rating.Linear ParkA new open space creating a new pedestrian pathway from Sturt through to Dodds Street, enhancing the connection of the campus to the Melbourne Arts Precinct. The StablesThe transformation of the former Victoria Police Mounted Branch by Kerstin Thompson Architects to provide new studios, exhibition facilities for VCA Art and a flexible performance space. The project has achieved a 5 Star Green Star Design and As-Built rating. Buxton ContemporaryA new art museum, designed by Fender Katsalidis architects, that includes 1500m2 of exhibition space. The building achieved indoor climate design to ASHRAE AA standard. -
