    Throughout 2015, I was involved in the application process to become a pilot in the Royal Australian Air Force. I was one of three successful candidates.This unforgettable experience saw me going through rigorous aptitude, fitness and medical tests in order to be considered for such a challenging position. The final stage of this application involved me travelling to the Tamworth Air Force Base in New South Wales where I participated in a two-week flight-screening program. Throughout the two weeks, nine candidates including myself were taught how to fly a plane safely, including executing numerous aerobatic manoeuvres in the air. In the final two days, we were all involved in numerous psychological Officer Selection Board activities and a final interview. Representatives from the Army, Air Force Navy, and a psychologist judged us to see if we had what it took to be a pilot in the Defence Force. This immensely challenging and rewarding experience taught me invaluable skills in areas of learning at an extremely fast rate, how to perform at a high standard under high pressure situations, how to effectively work in a team and leadership.
