Currently, I am a Process Engineer focused on new products and processes in the plant, specifically for our toll manufacturing business. I work with external and internal customers to develop and transfer new processes into the plant.Other responsibilities include providing process stewardship of existing processes, supporting operations as a technical contact in process improvement projects, non-conformance investigations, and revalidation of procedures and process hazard analyses.

Worked in the Continuous Improvement group as part of Process Engineering focusing on cost savings by improving existing processes and plant operations to reduce raw material or utility usage, reduce cycle time, or improve capacity.

As a student assistant I help maintain the business operations of the UW Radiation Calibration Lab. Daily duties included customer support and service, managing shipping and receiving of the medical equipment, and maintaining a database to track equipment calibrations.

For the spring 2014 semester I had a Co-op with Hydrite Chemical Company. As a Co-op student I assisted on several large capital projects, duties ranged from calculations to designing and drawing to gathering estimates for equipment and services. I was also part of the Process Improvement team and had several projects that focused on saving the company money by reducing process time and the use of materials and energy.

As part of a student exchange program, I spent a summer working with Professor Wang at Zhejiang University. My research involved synthesizing a stimuli responsive polymer using the procedure created by his graduate students research and using the prepared samples design and conduct experiments to test properties and possible applications.
