As the Copywriter & PR Manager for GForces, I create content for our internal and external branded campaigns, advertising (digital, social media, and print), social channels, and email communications. I also work with a number of our clients in creating their content and enhancing their digital presence. I also write, schedule and co-ordinate our press releases and collaborate with third-party agencies to achieve excellent coverage and results through the trade press and beyond.

I joined GForces in June 2016 as Copywriter & PR Manager. After over eighteen months honing the company’s tone of voice and enhancing our media presence and brand identity, I was promoted to Head of Marketing. This role gave me oversight of both the Creative Department and Media Services, with a focus on furthering GForces’ products and services through effective brand marketing.

I took the bold decision to start my own business and work on a freelance basis after being approached by a number of creative agencies, and a major motor vehicle manufacturer I had previously worked with. By doing so, I was able to take on a broad range of projects, from populating web page content to blogs, articles, radio and television scripts, and premium product brochures. I was also able to pursue my own writing projects. I have self-published two novels with some small-scale success, and I write a popular blog that has featured on the BBC Nature website. More recently, my articles on captive killer whales have appeared in major news stories. My passion is always evident, even in my creative writing, and I think I can offer heart-felt, engaging articles and stories that have the ability to reach and influence audiences.

I worked part-time as a Veterinary Assistant at the Laurels Veterinary Centre. The role involved supporting veterinary surgeons during appointments and operations, as well as organising patient schedules and marketing activity. It also enabled me to work with the Metropolitan Police Dog Training School in Nash, where we were assigned as not only veterinary staff, but also were involved in breed identification and temperament testing, and overseeing animal welfare elements of the training programme. Although only part-time during my studies, this work led to my involvement in local obedience and agility dog shows, and a passion for working with dogs and animals in general.
