Board member of a United Nations-administered fund to facilitate coordination among member states of the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) and Vulnerable Twenty (V20) Group of Finance Ministers.

As the Portfolio Manager of the Quadrature Climate Foundation, I helped set up the fund and managed its £500m investment portfolio across 7 sectors.• Managed a £500m investment portfolio; with responsibilities for origination, performance assessment, follow-on rounds and exits.• Established an in-house research team, enabling the origination of over 200 investments including catalysing 27 new start-ups, accelerators and pooled funds.• Developed an end-to-end investment process, facilitating approval of up to 140 investments p/a while retaining a 96% satisfaction rate among grantees and portfolio companies.• Conducted a thorough portfolio review, evaluating investments across 11 key metrics; created a comprehensive Management Information suite for the board.• Provided support to the CEO and principals, and assisted the COO in successfully managing the organisation through a leadership transition.

Member of the Taskforce on Scaling Voluntary Carbon Markets, a private sector-led initiative working to scale an effective and efficient voluntary carbon market.

As a strategy consultant at the Open Society Foundations, I designed multimillion dollar programmes; advised on foundation strategy; liaised with multilaterals and spun out new non-profits, working across Europe, the United States, Africa and Latin America.• Designed a $5m EU-wide emergency response programme for the 2014-5 refugee crisis that distributed funds to civil society and aid agencies in 28 countries.• Led a special project to set-up a new trade union federation. Raised an operating budget of $1m and recruited 196 unions in 118 countries to join as founding members.• Wrote analyst notes, strategy papers and briefings to executives and board members on democratic transition, human rights and the rule of law.

As a Programme Officer at the Open Society Foundations, I managed a grant portfolio on anti-discrimination in education, predominantly in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union:• Managed a $2m portfolio of education grants, including supporting integrated education in Northern Ireland and the former Yugoslavia and anti-Roma discrimination in Eastern Europe.• Represented OSF in United Nations negotiations on the Sustainable Development Goals and Financing for Development process; liaised with the World Bank on project finance.

• Helped prepare the investment prospectus, offering insights into the Development Impact Bond business model, contributing to a successful funding round.• Developed a consultation strategy which constructively engaged trade unions and civil society that initially opposed the Fund’s market-based operating model.
