Started as a 1st and 2nd fix apprentice alongside my degree to learn and master the trade of carpentry for C&A Johnson, working mostly on loft conversions and extensions. Once I had finished my apprenticeship, I was fully hired as a 2nd fix carpenter and plasterer. Although this was my main job title, I was heavily involved in the full construction of any project. From designing and erecting 1st Fix framework and dormers, roofing and lead work, fitting insulation and plasterboard, plastering and erecting stairs, to skirting and architrave, hanging doors, final fittings and hardware. As a team of around 4, we would see a project through until final snagging and make sure our customers received an unparalleled service and final result.
