Chairman at AFC Wolves | Football Advocate | Community DeveloperMy Journey:In 2017, I embarked on a transformative journey by founding AFC Wolves, a grassroots football club born out of a deep passion for the beautiful game and a vision for community development.AFC Wolves Highlights:Our journey began with me personally running training sessions, handpicking a dedicated team that would eventually form the core of AFC Wolves.Recognizing the need for inclusivity, I established the AFC Wolves Development Centre. It has since become a thriving hub, offering top-notch training for players who are not affiliated with a team. Our emphasis has always been on skill development and personal growth.Growth and Ambition:AFC Wolves has witnessed remarkable growth. As we head into the 2023/24 season, we proudly field seven grassroots teams, and have grown from 1 Registered player when we started this journey to now over 300 registered players who engage with the club for football sessions. A testament to the dedication of our players, coaching staff, and our shared vision for the future.Coach Development and Academic Collaboration:As part of our commitment to holistic development, I lead our Coach Development Programme, which provides coaches with the tools and knowledge to nurture the next generation of football talent. We also proudly collaborate with students from Wolverhampton University and Wolverhampton College, offering support and real-world experience in the field of sports education.Youth Engagement:Beyond the pitch, AFC Wolves extends its reach through our after-school clubs, offering fun, engaging, and inclusive sessions for primary school children in Key Stages 1 and 2.
