HousingPlus, Inc., founded in 2002, works to better the lives of homeless women and families by providing permanent and transitional housing with an array of services designed to aid and support their move from homelessness, devastating poverty and family fragmentation to stability, independence and family well-being.
We start with where a woman is to build upon her strengths, asking from the first day, “What do you need to succeed?”
At eight settings in Brooklyn and in Staten Island, we've designed a model to deliver comprehensive, integrated services in safe, home-like settings to foster a culture based on the core self-help principles of individual responsibility and mutual support.
