I'm a curator, researcher and lecturer focused on the history of painting from 1400-1900. Interested generally in art historical methodologies and the history of art history, I've previously taught at the universities of York, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Manchester, and alongside my current role at the National Portrait Gallery, I continue to teach at Birkbeck, University of London.
